About Me, Cassie Logan

Hello readers, my name is Cassie Logan. I'm a nine-year old girl and I live in Mississippi with Ma (my mother), Big Ma (my grandmother) and my three brothers: Stacey, Christopher-John and Clayton-Chester (but known as Little Man by almost everyone). Papa is often at work in the railroad, in Louisiana, far away from home. That's why we have Mr. Morrison with us for now, 'cause we need a man in the house, to take care of us.

My brothers and I just started school and they were tough days, so far. We go to Great Faith Elementary and Secondary School for the black children (Ma works there as well). Because were black, we don't have a school bus, so we have to walk our way to school, everyday. Going to school is not my favorite thing to do, however I try to learn as much as I can, especially because from --------- to October, we have to help Ma and Big Ma on the Cotton Fields. Mama says that the more we know, the better we prepared we are. Not like Little Man, who loves to learn and is the opposite of me. He loves school and keeping his clothes clean is one of his top priorities.
I love spending time with my brothers and family, whenever I have the time, so that we can come up with plans or talk about things we have discovered lately, about everything around us.

I hope that this blog will help me to express myself whenever I  need to. Sometimes I just feel like I need to write about what has been happening in my life and understand whether or not I'm doing the right thing and following the right path. I hope you can help me and accompany with this journey.
